HK/Shenzhen/Guangzhou - Part II

I started missing Lyon since yesterday..whenever I looked at my watch, I will guess what she is doing now. So called MIL, but she told me she is fine le, seem like not missing mummy at all, haha, then I feel better, at least I can enjoy more...bad mummy ya! Before we left, Lyon having mild running nose, that's worry me too. Lucky after days, she is fine now... 24/10/2005, Monday Breakfast in the hotel, buffet style but couldn’t find coffee le, only tea and orange juice. No cup too, have to use glass for tea; no tea spoon, have to use those spoon that we use to drink soup, funny hotel! No fork, have to use chopstick; wonder how 鬼佬eat noodles without fork?? Food also not much variety, we have: fried noodle, white rice (imagine breakfast eating white rice, I never try before), steam fish & meat ball, one veggie, one type bread, porridge (plain & 皮蛋), sausage. For plain porridge will have fried ground nut, fried onions & ikan bilis as side dish. That’s it. 9.00am, Ms Tan (Shenzhen tour guide) come and fetch us, today total tour member has 5 (3 of us + one daughter & mum from KL). Aiyoo….whole morning she brought us those places to spend money, such as Jade shop, Chinese herbal shop & cookies shop (selling Shenzhen 特产). In the jade shop, I saw those pendants design with Chinese horoscope, can move inside the pendant too, so cute! I yet to see this kind of design in Malaysia. It comes with 18K white gold. So I bought one for myself la (to pamper myself too!!), also not forget one for Wien & Lyon, one horse & one monkey…. After all these shopping places, it already comes to lunch time. Food in Shenzhen so lousy, same as last night dinner. We did not enjoy eating there. Can you imagine they using 肥猪肉(oily pork part) to cook as sweet & sour pork? At first I thought is “ku ru rou”, after biting, aikss, is the oily part le..pui pui…Also dare not try roadside hawker food in China. After lunch, proceed to Splendid of China (小人国/锦绣中华) and China Folk Cultural Village (文化村). This place need lot of walking, can take mini train but decide to walk, so only manage finish visiting cultural village. Hubby said Splendid of China not worth visiting as those are the miniature park which contained some china famous building and world’s landmark. Hubby went there last year. So I just follow his word, hope he not fang fei ke…We can see lot of Chinese cultural show inside the village. But very tired le, have to walk for soo far. Again, naughty Wien want daddy carries her… Some photos taken in the cultural village & the great show presented..worth to watch the show...
